The Bear Feast 2011
6pm Friday 16th December - noon Sunday 18th December.

A Pagan Animistic celebration of Midwinter based on sub polar shamanism and contemporary animism. The Bear Feast combines moving ritual with silly games, great entertainment and a wonderful fireside atmosphere. It is a not-for-profit event and all proceeds go to Survival International and the ATC.

The venue is an extraordinary outdoor education centre in Cranborne, Dorset. The Cranborne Ancient Technology Centre has a wonderful collection of reconstructed ancient buildings.

This year we are focussing on community. We are lowering the price (we know these are hard times) and in return asking for more help from those attending. We will be cooking communally and asking people to bring food and ingredients to share. We will be entertaining one another around the fireside rather than booking an act. Other than that the Bear Feast will be just the same with its unique combination of deep ritual, silly games and friendly atmosphere!
